Export Cheat:
Go talk to the Gatewarden in Candlekeep, the castle you start in. The Gatewarden asks you if you want to practice some mass combat, do it. Go down into the cellar and a wizard will create some illusion bad guys and an illusion party. Go into the illusion party inventory, and take all their good stuff....some plate mail, shield +1, some wands...now export your character. If you tell the wizard to teleport back outside, you'll lose the stuff - you have to export your character. Now, start a new game, import the character and he will have all the cool stuff. Do this as often as you like....you can sell the plate armor for 300gp! With the small golden shield, make sure you identify it before you sell it, if you sell it without identifying it you'll only get 1gp, if you identify it and sell it you'll get about 500gp...
Export Cheat #2:
Take your character to the training episode in the first scene (you are approached for a training opportunity by someone near where you meet your "father"). Go in and begin battle. Instead of fighting, select the characters (right click) you are given to control and begin transferring their inventory to yourself. Keep the battle going until you have all you want. Don't exit or you will lose it all; instead, select your character while still in the training area and export him/her. Begin a new game and import your character. All the inventory is still there! WARNING - the beta patch looks like it may fix the import "bug"."
Cheat Mode:
Before doing the following, make sure you backup the file. Using any text editor (Word, Wordpad, etc.), edit the "baldur.ini" file in your Baldur's Gate directory. Under the [Game Options] heading, put Cheats=1 (case sensitive). Now during play press Crtl+Tab and a window will pop up. Enter any of these codes and press enter to activate. Note: These are all case sensitive.

Extra Gold: Put a position on your belt so you can use it quickly. Go to the main game screen to see it. Then go back to your inventory replace it with a gem of an kind then go back to the main game screen you should see the position. Then click on the position go back to your inventory and the gem should have no number by it then go back to the main game screen click on the position again when you go back to the inventory you should have 65555 or some where around that number buy the gem. Then go sell the gem and you will get lots of money. A spawned defending Drizzt will not join your party, but will simply wait until there is a threat to your party and then attack the offender. After a couple minutes of inactivity, Drizzt will disappear. No experience is gained from killing Drizzt and he carries no items to pick up when he is dead. Cheat codes
Unlocking cheats
Enter the Baldur's Gate II directory, and find the Baldur.ini file. It should be in the main Black Isle folder. Double click on it, and the .ini file will open in Notepad. Scroll down in the file until you reach the heading Program Options, and underneath, you should find a list of commands with numbers following (i.e., BitsPerPixel=16, Acceleration=0, etc.). Begin a new line anywhere under the Program Options heading, and write the command line: Debug Mode=1. This will tell your system to accept the cheats you will enter into the console. Save this file and exit. Now start the game and open the console prompt by pressing Ctrl and the space bar. Type the following codes and press Enter.
Level-up characters
After the console prompt, type: CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP("amount of experience points"), and hit Enter. The desired character has to be selected before entering the console. The XP cap is 2,950,000 XP, but remember to remove the commas when typing in the cheat.
Example: CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP("29500000")
Create gold
After the console prompt, type: CLUAConsole:AddGold("amount of gold") and hit Enter. Again, no commas.

Make a backup copy of your city in case you mess up.

Destroy all water plants
Go to an area on the outskirts of the city with no buildings around
Dezone an area 3x3
