In June 2002 Ed Vogel from Detroit produced the largest SOMA, using cardboard.

Here is Ed's notes: (PS. Check it out occationally for news)
I am in the process of building a transportable SOMA puzzle from 18" cube folding cardboard cartons and velcro. It will not be as sturdy or as clean fitting as the Uden puzzle(Newsletter 2000.11.29) but it will fit into my car. It is going to be used in performances by a puppet/music/dance/ theater group called the Piano Punks which is a collective of varying size made up of my piano students and collegues.

The current plan is to assemble the cube during my
students piano recital in August.
Do you or you
readers know of music composition related to SOMA. I
have a few ideas based on
Mozarts Musical Dice Game
which should work.
I am in the planning stages of a dance performance which would involve actors in black, manipulating the pieces. The idea being that only the pieces would appear to be moving.
